About Central + West Africa and Francophone Nations

As this region recovered from the most recent Ebola epidemic, it was hit again with COVID-19 amid malaria season. As governments struggle to come through with promised aid, the church comforts believers, serves its communities and follows God’s call to take the gospel to French- and Arabic-speaking people across the Sahel.

Central + West African nations with Foursquare presence: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea (Conakry), Guinea-Bissau, Guinea Equatorial, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.

Francophone territories also overseen by this area missionary: French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and New Caledonia.

Priority Projects to be Funded

  • Build a Central Africa Training Facility: Kinshasa is a centrally located city that Foursquare is using to train and send missionaries and pastors to all of Central Africa and soon to North Africa. An international coalition of Foursquare leaders from this region have already secured the land and labor force to construct a church-planting hub. Cost: $250,000 USD.

  • Equip Indigenous Church Planting: African leaders have a vision to reach rural, majority-Muslim areas in West Africa and the Sahel. These local leaders are able to plant culturally appropriate churches in areas otherwise difficult to access. Cost: $3,000 per church.
  • Fund a Job Skills Training – Foursquare Nigeria has been invited to bring their job skill trainings for capacity building into neighboring countries. These trainings include a robust list of skills that help people gain meaningful employment, including widows and orphans displaced by war. Church planting often follows this practical community investment. Cost: $7,000 per training.
Give now. When you give to Foursquare Missions International’s Global Missions Fund, you help propel projects like this forward in Africa and around the world.
