Shanon knew from a young age that God was calling her to help care for orphans and widows. In 2008, she went on a short term mission to Cambodia partnering with FCOP International and she knew that it was where God was calling her to serve. The years that followed would be a time of training and preparation for all of the areas of ministry in which she now serves. Having overcome extreme physical challenges, her life is a testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness. It is the message of God’s love, grace, and hope that she desires to share with the people of Cambodia, specifically the orphans and widows.
Shanon serves alongside of the Cambodian staff helping to care for over 100 children at the FCOP Training Center in Phnom Penh through teaching English, developing Children’s ministry programs, assisting FCOP’s staff pediatrician, and coordinating supplies being sent to FCOP’s 106 church refuge centers throughout the country. This ministry role has been especially important during the COVID-19 crisis. She is also using her gift of administration to support and empower the national leadership at the national church office.
